Cool vibe, food and service was just enough. Just wish they had more wine choices.

the lighting is so beautiful and clean, it’s a really comfy place to be in. we started with the house marg and the frozen marg - the house isn’t made with the store bought sweet-n-sour that we all hate it was mixed here and was delish; the frozen marg was velvety smooth and boozy. we got the starter chips n salsa with a side of vegan queso: we are not vegans but LOVED that queso it was scraped clean. the habanero pineapple salsa was wonderful and the chile verde salsa was grassy and herby - both were very distinct and criminally good. house made tortilla chips were served along. the taco salad is generous with a perfectly crisp shell. the taco bowl el pastor was also scraped clean. we finished with the happy hour swirl mezcal/tequila frozen margs and i didn’t love them as much as the standard frozen marg, but im not a huge fan of mezcal - just wanted to try the swirl - so I think bigger fans of mezcal would love. the service was delightful. note that you cannot pay cash here and the checkout was simple. we will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Great food for a decent price. Decent portions too! Very tasty tacos; brilliant vegan truck stop nachos and a great watermelon salad. The vegan garbanzo bowl was delicious too. The ice cream taco and the churro bites were brilliant choice ; so was the creamed corn . The waiting time for food was long however. Cameron who served us was polite and very helpful. Toilets were clean. We could not get a Friday evening sit in; so we had to go for lunch time. Book online as it is busy during weekends This place is very close to and walking distance from California station on the blue line metro

Lonesome Rose hosted our BEAUTIFUL wedding at their Andersonville location. The planning process was an absolute blast with Events Director Crystal Wells, Executive Chef Sal Moreno, and Culinary Director Dan Snowden. From our very first inquiry email to the last glass of champagne/tequila, the team at Lonesome Rose showed us the most thoughtful hospitality, second to none professionalism, and a terrific party time. We started planning about a year out. Chefs invited us to a tasting of the elevated catering offerings for us in June. We were so impressed with the delicious spread. The family style meal we planned was bountiful and spectacular. In our initial inquiry, we had asked if the Culinary team could make a special dish for us: Corndogs. They delivered, above and beyond, with a super fun blue masa corndog with special sauces. We still have guest raving about how good the food and drinks were! For our wedding, we booked the whole restaurant: the main dining room, the patio, and the brand new bar, Sweethearts. We held our ceremony on the patio. The plants and greenery that are already on site were a great alternative to single use option and give the venue a truly alive vibe. The staff of the venue was Top Notch in service and hospitality. Our guests had a wonderful time dining and drinking! The patio also doubled as the dance floor. We got lucky - the weather on our wedding day was the perfect temperature with sunny skies. Lonesome Rose was the perfect venue for our wedding. We’re so glad we threw our very big, fun party here! The nice thing about a restaurant as a wedding venue is that we can come back anytime and relive the magic! And a frozen margarita or two ;)

This place is great for happy hour. Great appetizers in large portions. The burrito in the video is not included but is a popular item. Definitely go for the chips and dip - it’s great. Parking was easy but is all paid. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Definitely a unique interior if a vibe is what you’re looking for. Would recommend to people in the area for Mexican!
